Oppn softens stand on Manipur, but fails to end stalemate in RS

Climbing down from their hard position of a debate on Manipur situation in Rajya Sabha under Rule 267 and only after PM Narendra Modi makes a statement, the Opposition on Thursday offered that it is ready for a discussion under Rule 167, which only calls for a passage of a resolution by the House, but the proposal failed to break the logjam.
