AAP says nominee 'abducted'; neta emerges, opts out of poll

Kanchanlal Jariwala, an AAP nominee for the Surat East seat reportedly kidnapped on Tuesday, resurfaced the next day to withdraw from the fray. The AAP brass claimed Jariwala backed out under duress from BJP, an allegation he purportedly denied in a video and blamed AAP workers for his decision instead, alleging they refused to campaign for him unless he spent Rs 80 lakh to Rs 1 crore.
